Coulrophobes across Tasmania are in a panic with the news that a giant, inflatable, evil clown has escaped from the Moscow Circus and is rampaging across the Tasmanian countryside.
Police have warned people to stay inside and not approach the clown, as it is evil (of course).
OK - so the rampaging thing is a bit of an exaggeration (actually a complete lie), but you know how I feel about clowns.
If you can handle the truth it can be read here: http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2010/01/01/2783754.htm

NT News Reports - Croc Trap Clowns
Given my antipathy towards clowns I was excited to see this headline thinking that, perhaps, it might be a story about a Crocodile eating a clown - but, alas, it was not. The guys involved were not real clowns, only metaphorical ones, and metaphorical clowns don't count.
Maybe next time.

My Name is Bloodoracle and I am Afraid of Clowns
There - I have publicly outed myself - I am a Coulrophobe.
Well, maybe not anymore - but I was as a child. My response to clowns is now much more rational - I just hate the creepy bastards! Need less to say Stephen King's It and the movie Poltergeist really give me the screaming heebee geebees.
Now there is news that a clown is about to be sent into space (the founder of Circe de Soleil has payed for trip to the International Space Station).
This should definitely set a precedent. As far as I am concerned all clowns should be shot into space and left there. Maybe we could send a clown-ship to Mars - it is already the right colour. Come to think of it, perhaps we could send their cousins the Mimes as well. Don't get me started...
